Merkel beendet Ihre Energiereise
Am Freitag beendete Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel ihre 4-tägige Energiereise – und lässt kein Zweifel daran, dass das Zeitalter der regenerativen Energien bald kommen wird
Am 28. September will die Bundesregierung über ein grundlegendes Energiekonzept entscheiden, das die Richtung in der Energiepolitik für die nächsten Jahre oder sogar Jahrzehnte angeben soll. Einen letzten Eindruck verschaffte sich Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel auf ihrer 4-tägigen Energiereise, auf der sie teilweise von Umweltminister Norbert Röttgen und Bundeswirtschaftsminister Rainer Brüderle begleitet wurde. Offizielles Ziel der Reise war es sich einen Überblick über die verschiedenen Energietypen, von regenerativen Energien bis hin zur Kernenergie zu verschaffen und mögliche zukünftige Effizienzsteigerungen zu diskutieren.
Am Freitag (27.08.10) endete die medienwirksam inszenierte Reise der Kanzlerin in Darmstadt, wo sie eine abschließende Pressekonferenz gab. Dabei machte sie kein Geheimnis darum wo Deutschland im Punkto Energie in den nächsten Jahren hinsteuert. „Das Zeitalter der erneuerbaren Energien“ soll bald eingeläutet werden. Kern- aber auch Kohlekraftwerke sollen dabei in den nächsten Jahren allerdings weiterhin eine tragende Rolle im Energiemix spielen, um als Brückentechnologien dann langsam von den regenerativen Energien abgelöst zu werden. Bis 2050 soll der Strom dann ausschließlich durch erneuerbare Energien erzeugt werden. Dafür sei aber ei n Ausbau der Stromnetze unabdingbar, wie Merkel betonte. Umweltminister Röttgen wies außerdem darauf hin, dass die Energieversorgung enorme Investitionen voraussetze. Auch Bundeswirtschaftsminister Rainer Brüderle, der wenige Tage zuvor noch mit Röttgen aneinander geraten war, bezeichnete den Weg ins „regenerative Zeitalter“ als gangbar.
